Thousands of books are residing in this barn on a small island off the coast of Maine. They have all been donated by readers, so they can be shared and given a. second life. Some are donated directly to literacy programs for adults and children; others are sold online which helps to raise money for those efforts. Everyone and every book benefits from this project!

Some of the groups and individuals that have been part of Lupine Ledge this last year.

Our books can be found on ABEBooks. We have a huge variety of fiction and nonfiction, really old and fairly new, hardback and softcover. Our collection includes many nautical and Maine titles plus history and biography. We also have a large number of Irish fiction and nonfiction books. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, you can always send an email or give us a call. We love to hear from other bibliophiles.
